A great movie about the occupied Palestinian people and their (mostly futile) resistance to the occupation. It shows the sad, almost ironic, reality of living in a modern apartheid state. The films conveys the ‘normalcy’ of the situation in the Palestinian territories quite brilliantly. The main character, ES, (which is played by Suleiman) barely talks and shows no emotion, even when an Israeli tank he just drove past explodes in flames. A good portion of the film is played out…
