I mean...yeah, obviously.
Both are lines from the movie.
On a more serious note, they depicted the father's depression well enough. I liked the parts where he seems to be drowning in a dark ocean of apathetic people and how he finds and hugs Sophie in the middle of it. I'd hoped it was going to have a more dramatic, cathartic ending but it was good enough - the single tear sliding down my face told me so.Translated from by
