At time clumsy dialogue and second half story advances in strange ways.
Make efforts at being almoldovar but stylistic can feel a little confused. Opening handheld onee is exquisite but entirely out of keeping with steadicam oner half way through. Constant style swapping would work if the styles you were swapping between were less decided but they are so distinct that the lack of consistency is disorientating.
Lead performance is one of the strongest I’ve seen this year. If she was English speaking she’d have won several Oscar’s by now.
