An irreverent tale that gorgeously captures the social violence of post war american society. The use of negative space to portray characters synergizes with the titular architecture.
Shots and sound design are gorgeous and I'd highly recommend seeing it in theaters before it's gone.
Loved the unique visual style and amazing soundtrack used to convey a multilayered puzzle towards it's meaning. One of my favorite styles and the first time I've seen a great one in live action.

I think this movie probably deserves a rewatch on my part due to (and no offense to them) my friends talking during the silent and contemplative ambiance of the movie.

Kon's visual direction and Hirasawa's composing continue to be excellent as is the case with all of his works I've seen so far.
Unfortunately I think things fall flat in the script:
