Consider it the other way around… maybe Fennell wanted this film to be about class consciousness and failed the working class hero (villain in the end) - but she plotted an almost profound tale of the fears of the upper class ?? Let them in and they will destroy us vibes. I loved the way this film was shot, the symbolism was rich and even though the dialogue was lacking I think if you view it as an upper class…
