The Menu 2022
Very enjoyable random Netflix pick tonight. Didn’t know anything prior to going into it and loved the insanity of the chef. I think a lot of great artists are typically veering on the edge of insanity because of the pressure to do something inherently meant to be “freeing” becomes so pressured. The classic punishing of the bourgeoisie is a movie trope I tend to enjoy. Felt a bit corny/heavyhanded at times where I think they could’ve been more subtle.

Quite a big topic to handle. I’ll start off with the only dislike of this movie- the fact that it had terrible action shots. I found myself wanting plot more than the long scenes of green screen floating and flying and jumping. It’s just not my thing. But a very minor inconvenience to get through to the plot and I will admit the butt plug action scene absolutely killed me.
