The book for this movie is one of my all time favorites. Ned Vizzini's writing was my first exposure to mental illness being presented as anything other than a life-ruiner. The movie captures some charm of the characters and Bobby's character is great. There's a lot lost in the adaptaition but it was still an enjoyable watch.
