  Honestly. Fuck this movie. Hardest I’ve cried in a long time. It was visually stunning. The direction was everything. A beautifully told story. I will never watch this movie again but damn it has left a mark on me. If you need a good fucking cry this one is your movie. It might be the worst and best movie I’ve seen in a long time. Good job studio ghibli, y’all destroyed me with this one. I’m left empty.

  Absolutely disgusting. This film fetishizes female pain and wtf is with the pro life cgi baby propaganda… I couldn’t even finish the movie. Truly one of the most disturbing things I’ve seen… not to mention how rape apologist brody was in this too?… like, make it make sense. This just wreaks of the male gaze and is completely unaware of itself… Let’s please just leave Marilyn alone?
