While the art is beautiful, I thought the plot was more exploitative than thought provoking!! I went into it blind, but I wish I hadn't—I would have appreciated having NEVER seen this movie.. it was disturbing. The art was at points beautiful and at points grotesque, but the darker content of the plot ruined it entirely for me. Maybe I just dont understand movies. The stars are only for the art and the fact that if this story was appealing to someone, that they would like it I guess. It just really did not appeal to me!

I think this is legitimately one of the best Cinderella adaptations ever. For a movie made for kids and made so long ago each character is dynamic, funny, and costumed perf ✨
