As Good as It Gets 1997
Not a bad film but it made me feel weird. The main character is overwhelmingly racist, homophobic and sexist at the start of the film and then his demeanour is softened because he starts to take medication for his ocd and seduces a much much younger woman by paying for her son’s healthcare and helping out his gay neighbour who he previously treated in a dehumanising way. Does ocd medication really change your views and personality that deeply? Are we supposed to root for them as a couple? Scrooge meets beauty and the beast set in 90s NYC featuring a cute lil munchkin doggy x
