Could've separated the plots between "detatchment" in a school setting (w/ Meredith), and "detatchment" in a wordly-problem way (w/ Erica) into two movies, or just focused on one idea in order to strengthen it. Everything else about the movie is absolutely beautiful and moving.

I had the privilege of performing this one a few years ago; juror #4. The plot makes you think, and hopefully reflect on judicial practices as well as your own moral standings. Redundant dialog and unchanging setting can make some people lose interest, but the movie is still impactful cerebrally— less entertainingly.

I can understand this being enjoyed by younger children, although it progresses pretty fast for them to really enjoy any plot; it's just snarky animals and cool visuals. (Dunno if preparation or filming conditions were rough, but I don't think it was great work from Downey Jr.. Love me some Michael Sheen, although it wasn't his best work either.)
