That’s a fine action movie but every second of it I just couldn’t help but imagine Mary Elizabeth Winstead in an Alien movie. She got amazing Ripley vibes.

The most generic Mission Impossible movie ever. It’s like watching a big budget movie version of A-Team. There’s no tension, no stressful moments that could only a terrifying villain create and that’s something this movie lacked big time. Where’s the excitement? With that movie one can truly appreciate the value of Philip Seymour Hoffman and also the first Mission Impossible’s paranoid vibes.

They don’t make them like this anymore.

The beauty of this film lies in the fact that sometimes it can be goofy, hilarious, filled with misfortunes but also it can have this strong and resonant sense of emotional core that touches our very deep roots of friendship and compassion.

This movie is a true masterpiece of comedy and road trip movies. Definitely top 5 in these categories. Steve Martin and John Candy made such an iconic duo. One of those movies that got endless rewatch value.

Just rewatched ‘Oppenheimer’ and it’s really not what I was expecting. You can see why some people found it problematic.

This film is a giant piece of “rushing things”. There’s this quickness in this film that excludes viewer from stop and think and create a bond with any of the characters. This Chris Nolan quote makes so much sense now:

“I tried to be guided by my initial emotional reaction ... There are so many characters in this film that can have an entire film made about their lives, so it was a constant struggle.”
