The most stomach-churning and unnecessarily gory film I’ve ever seen.
Its dependence on shock factor and subversive, graphic content totally diminished any of its supposed artistic or allegoric value for me.

The Royal Tenenbaums is a touching, artfully shot Wes Anderson flick about familial dysfunction and making amends.
The soundtrack and styling are on point, while the acting by the entire Tenenbaum clan breathes nuance and light into each and every character.
