Wow I love journalist films, had me forgetting every name every second and rewinding even more than usual, I wish we’d have gotten to the tapes! But alas bob and Carl weren’t responsible for that. Might read the book? Who knows? Robert Redford was darn handsome in the 70s, in the most suave suit I’ve ever seen.

God I despise these reviews, this film was not like the substance, neither was this a ‘male’ view of insecurities. This film was deeply about disability and how perception can destroy you if you allow it to dictate your life. At no point was I convinced Edward wanted to change his face, it seemed he was accepting of how he looked but not of how others looked at him. So he took the only way out he could find.
