Love Lies Bleeding 2024
WOW! I was sleeping on this movie & waited too long to watch this. Glad I decided to yesterday, thankfully & appreciatively blown away by it all.
This film was fantastic, start to finish. One of my favorite parts about this film was how often it shifted my emotions & perceptions of each character during new situations and story developments. I saw myself constantly trying to guess what was going to happen next while being surprised and incorrect each time. Really stunning performances from everyone, hands down though Katy O’Brian ran with her role & really blew me away. One of my top favorite films of 2024.

I really wish this delved more into the blurred lines of reality VS fiction & the more thought provoking questions of what it’s like to not live your authentic life & self VS the extreme consequences and parallels of not doing so. A lot of time was spent on the build up of questioning & scene setting that it left for a rushed ending with little impact besides disappointment on my end.
