    Can’t tell you how gratifying it was to unpack this with Mary and Amy at the @mezzanine q&A… we had a ton of tension to resolve and got right to it. 

    Lol to male-run festivals turning this down bc it basically repulsed them to witness authentic female emotions in a platonic context 

    This severely unlikable bunch of annoying/compelling female protagonists clearly walked so Lena Dunham’s could run

    As an “FFB” “Off the D” containing multitudes of Jewish guilt, obligation and resulting personal boundaries, this film really spoke to me on a spiritual level I did not expect. 

    The opening credits kick off with reassurance that M’dor L’dor can hang by a thread and broken-telephone Mesorah doesn’t even have to be generational to occur— nonetheless, god hears whatever vestige of tradition remains.
