tbh... i did not enjoy this movie at all. maybe i'm stupid for it and i didn't understand the message or wtv but i found most of the characters annoying tbh, ESP bender. not one worthwhile line came out of his mouth the entire film. i only fw brian tbh.
and they just get together at the end??? like what even is the common ground between bender/claire and andrew/ally. andrew really only found her attractive once she completelytransformed herself, how does that make sense. someone's gotta explain to me what they see in this film man

the most perfect adaptation of an austen novel i've seen yet. accurate costumes and sets, the period atmosphere and a fantastic cast. amanda root and ciaran hinds were sooo so so good in their portrayal of the main characters.
only downside was the kiss scene towards the end bcs it feels way too improper for the attitudes of society at the time as well as for anne's character imo.
