The Wild Robot 2024
The concept of a robot developing emotions always come off as uncreative to me, which is still the case for The Wild Robot, but I think it has a lot of artistic merits. The comedy is on point, the animation stunning, and the characters quite charismatic, not to mention how well-paced it is.

I really liked the direction of this movie. Some shots, especially during the intro, looked so good, hitting this nice retro and dark tone. The characters aren't anything to write home about, but they serve the plot nicely. I didn't really like how the aliens looked (except the humanoid one at the end), but maybe that's because it's my first time watching the franchise. Also, the tension in this movie is on point, having multiple things to worry about at once, and then having them also falling into place one by one.
