  They make a generally compelling case, but it gets disrespectful at times (claiming Lincoln cried more over a lover's death than his son's is.... A questionable comparison at best. How do you even prove that?). Ann Rutledge is also never even mentioned, and Mary Todd is outright disrespected, which shows an obvious cherrypicking of information. This is not a production handled with care for Lincoln at all, but rather for what his queerness could offer to various movements; the documentary is a vehicle, not a love letter to his legacy. But whatever, add it to the never-ending list of historians that screw up this subject.
