From start to finish I was encapsulated in this film. It has some of the best sequences in cinema that I have ever seen. These sequences are accompanied by a tremendous score that climaxes throughout the film, creating this uneasiness and restless atmosphere. The camera work and cinematography is very effective and consistent throughout.

The plot of the film is very intriguing following Daniel Plainview, (Daniel Day- Lewis) a silver miner and his son migrate to California where they join…

    ★★★★

A Complete Unknown is a great film, obviously Timothee Chalamet delivers yet again with an inspiring performance of Bob Dylan, clearly deserving the Oscar (unbiased). There are some scenes that are the best ever. I really liked the cinematography. Where this film lacks is in its pacing, it drags and drags. Also there were too many songs but I guess you’ll find that in a biopic about a musician.

This film is incredible. Stacked cast. An outstanding score. Paul Dano is the goat.

I do have a few issues with it though. The ending is a major problem as I feel they could’ve ended it about 4 times, so it just drags. And the weird visual effects when Batman was flying and hanging. Idk how to describe it, it just didn’t look real. And this film claims to be the most grounded Batman film.

You can’t find any of these issues in The Dark Knight.

After watching only 2 Daniel Day-Lewis films I can confirm that he’s the greatest actor of all time.

Blade Runner 2049 is a visually stunning and thought-provoking masterpiece that builds on the legacy of Ridley Scott’s original while carving out its own identity. Denis Villeneuve’s direction is nothing short of exceptional, creating a dystopian world that feels both eerily familiar and hauntingly new. The film’s pacing is deliberate but never sluggish, and every frame is meticulously crafted, with Roger Deakins' cinematography deserving special mention for its breathtaking visuals.

The Revenant is nothing short of a visual masterpiece, created by astonishing cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki.

Leo gives a great performance of Hugh Glass, particularly through his physical acting. However, the star of the film was Tom Hardy as Fitzgerald. I didn’t know he used to do good films.

    Amazing film!
