Orson Welles's magnum opus is undeniably a masterpiece, though maybe a little overhyped. A lot of the cool choices made throughout the movie are less interesting after 80 years of directors copying Welles. Therefore, I wasn't as immersed in this film as I am in some other classics. However, I did love the plot structure and Welles's acting

It's not quite Goodtellas but it's pretty close. I mean Pesci is hilarious the entire film while simultaneously being terrifying. De Niro is De Niro and Sharon Stone is excellent. Though this film lasts 3 hours it never feels like it drags in any way. Scorsese knows what he is doing.

Cohen maintains his incredibly offensive but hilarious character in all kinds of environments across the US. There is definitely some underlying genius to this film but it really is overly crazy at times. I guess where this film falls short is the repetitiveness of the humor but I think it still works on a real level.

Enjoyable from start to finish, Buster Keaton shines in the lead role performing baffling stunts and gags that leaves you engaged and amazed. The humor was consistent throughout too. Despite its simplicity and silly tone, one of the better movies I've seen recently. The old film and silent nature doesn't matter at all in the end. True brilliance.
