Jurassic Park 1993
This film is both a revolution in storytelling and in technological feats.
It's hard to exactly pin down the success of Jurassic Park without mentioning the stunning special effects, which still hold very well today. The story, based on the novel by Micheal Creaton, is itself very good, and changed just enough to warrant a watch even if you have read the book. The idea of humans playing God is very well explored in this film, and is a powerful reminder of the power that we as humans have, and the dangerous things we can do with it.
