Mills comes particularly close to capturing nature's perspective, one of the hardest things to do–phenomenologically–in filmmaking. Despite the human decisions involved preceding production, she grants nature predominant visual agency. On top of that, Mills doesn't turn a blind eye to the human urge for monitoring, categorizing, collecting, and all other actions that denaturalize the environment.
