Amongst the literal grey monotones of adulthood, nobody really ever seems to know what they are doing. Least not Francis whose mix match of career aspirations, friendship and love life are all a blur of could be's and should be's, lost opportunity and a lack of direction are often presented as the greatest failing in life, but Baumbach proposes that there is something to how we crash and bumble our way through life, life is the meaning we attribute to…

    Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning

    ★★★½

unfortunate regression in every way from the previous three building up to it, much more exposition and the cgi environmental inserts are noticeable and do detract from the ethos of the practical stunt work. some of the action seemed to lack a clarity of previous entries aswell, It’s a sequel which very much sets up the next sequel but given that’s the final film can’t really blame them.

trust mcquarie and co to stick the landing tho 🙏

    not our fault.

Perfectly captures the feeling of frustration growing up in a, not poor but low-income household.

The way ladybird describes her hometown with both having a feeling of restraint and unmistakable beauty, hits home for me.
this is reflected in the way locations are shot, areas in sacramento are vast and open always a feeling of emptyness, it convays a feeling that there's nothing to do, nowhere to go, just endless suburbia, something lady bird isn't contempt with. But at the…
