  Truly saved by its weirdness - and even then that can save it only so much.

  The cinematography and acting were top notch, but the film’s writing really began to weigh its potential down the more it went on, especially by the ending. And whilst it’s depiction of rich inherited-estate people was hilariously plausible and enjoyable, the decisions by certain characters were confusingly paradoxical and it felt like the film skipped over areas of great potential for increased character depth in favour of ambiguity that didn’t pay off.
