  How do I even begin to describe this TRIP of a movie?? Basically if David Lynch took LSD mixed with DMT and wrote a movie about gay cats on a weirdly eerie purgatory train ride but also he’s a Christian? But also the TITANIC is involved for some reason????

  Unbelievably difficult watch. (Pls look up TW if you’re interested in this one). Heartbreaking window into how trauma affects us, and the different ways it manifests. I’ve never seen a film by Araki before and I’m struck with the beauty he weaves into this dark story, as well as the care and sensitivity displayed at the same time. A LOT of filmmakers in current time could and should take notes from this guy. Don’t really have it in me to give this one a rating at the moment, I may come back and add one later.

  I honestly hated this. The plot is a complete mess, it feels like Perkins took bits and pieces of potentially good ideas (or just ideas from films already made and loved) and threw them in a blender.
