perhaps all respectable media, not just news outlets, should consider treating their subjects as human and not fodder for entertainment and competition. you don’t get drop the line “it’s not politics. it’s emotion” as a get out of jail free card and then present a one-sided narrative that refuses to humanize a people actively being genocided. the context in which we tell stories matters.
