  Surely this must at least partially be satirizing the notion that makers of extreme cinema must be fucked up and awful in their personal lives, right?

  On top of describing, in the most extreme way possible, the frustration of being a nonconformist filmmaker/artist in general.

  Also feels like a massive fuck you finger to the entire film world for not accepting or supporting Dora's Melancholie Der Engel as it was. Let it all out, Marian. Filmwatching is a therapeutical tool and the filmmaking process certainly can be aswell.
