  -  Reeve Whitson , the man who somehow knew about the murders 3 hours before they happened. Who according to all of his friends and family was a CIA agent and rabid anti-communist who  infiltrated the counterculture. Oh and he was also close friends  with Otto Skorzeny (mercenary for the SS and later Mossad.)
  -  The LSD/ Speed experiments on mice at the Haight Ashbury Free Clinic (the same cocktail the family was on.)

  The number 14 in esoteric numerology states that in order to find balance, you have to suffer and is also said to represent “the divine mother.” 
              Part FBI procedural, part satanic esoterica. Longlegs serves as a nice companion piece to other genre-bending thrillers like Silence of the Lambs & Exorcist III.  Most films don’t deserve a 2.5 hours+ runtime but this film would have really benefitted from it.
