been wanting to rewatch ever since i watched it the first time, it was nice to not have to second guess the characters this time around. really i’ve been meaning to rewatch ever since i hiked tumbledown mountain like two weeks ago, couldn’t stop thinking about this movie, the anxiety of not knowing where you are going, the frustration and anger you can feel, the trust you need in the person you are with, nothing captures all that as well…

so god damn gooood! ryan and tatum o’neal are the most powerful duo of all time, god damn, i could watch like fifty more movies with these two. beautifully shot, perfect dialogue, i love all the cons and all the little schemes they pull. the ending is exactly what i wanted. moses pray is possibly my favorite movie name ever.

both “you still owe me 200 dollars” and “eat your coney island!” will be forever etched into my brain.

i need more slice of life movies about a collection of sisters. i need people in real life to start gathering around two cute old people playing the piano and singing at parties.

gorgeous, good mix of heartwarming and heartbreaking, it’s spicy, it’s sad, god this script is a masterclass and every role is perfectly executed (except the fact that i have always felt that jeff goldblum should have played the douchey rockstar as opposed to daniel stern).

that final monologue is so damn good.

    this is america’s Trainspotting.

I love any movie with a narrator main character talking direct to camera, i can’t help it, it’s just so good and matthew lillard is so fucking cool in this. it truly does feel like you are catching up with an old friend and he’s filling you in on everything you missed.

this is another movie that begs the question, “did christopher mcdonald actually make good choices in the films he was in, or did he just get very lucky and took everything that was offered to him but they all ended out being bangers?”

I have a love in my life. It makes me stronger than you can imagine.

insane to think this movie was created as a way for PTA to challenge himself to make a 90 minute rom com, starring the king of 90 minute rom coms.

it truly does feel like a realistic version of the classic sandler “guy with a heart of gold who is cursed/blessed with the ability to go into a blind rage and destroy anyone in his…

pretty fucking good honestly, took so long to finally watch this and i’ve basically had it hyped up by everyone i’ve ever talked to about it, but it held up! animation is solid, its that kinda weird dreamworks mix of cartoony and realism that doesn’t always work but this was nice.

good story, overall predictable but lots of cute little moments that i wasn’t really expecting. now i gotta watch like two more of these and the live action one :)
