No matter how much better whatever i imagine in my head, it’s not as real as what i do have
Very dreamlike, and more metaphysical than i expected.
Somehow, though they are wildly different films, i’m left with similar feelings as after i watched Grave of the Fireflies just yesterday.
A sort of quiet, half asleep awareness of existence, if that makes sense.
My first and definitely not last Kurozawa movie.
I knew there was a treasure trove waiting in 50-60s japanese cinema, and i’m so excited to finally be diving into it.
Hours flew by and before i knew it the show was over.
It has it all; artful composition, great soundtrack, humor and a compelling storyline.
will be coming back to this one for sure.
