dude..WHAT?!? i can’t recall a movie that’s made me feel each emotion in the book every 2-5 minutes. literally had to sit there for 30 minutes afterwards to process how it all made me feel. yes, queer film but it goes beyond just having them represented. having the whole film depict the highest joys and deep sorrows of the LGBTQ+ community in history is so dope and actually quite nuanced in the way it’s relayed. rlly enjoyed its blatant sexuality, ridiculous but surprisingly comprehensible dialogue, and graphically horrendous conversation abt evangelical Christianity.
