  Ok. I first watched this back in 2020 and I really did not like it, like REALLY did not like it. It took me a few goes and I finally watched the whole thing (begrudgingly). I just didn’t get into the story, back then I found it to be really heteronormative and boring and I also really disliked both Connell and Marianne. 

  In the years since my first viewing I had the thought that maybe, just maybe I disliked it…

  I knew this one was going to hit me hard when I first saw a preview for it months ago before a film and cried, so unsurprisingly I bawled my eyes out in the cinema this evening then sobbed in the car on my drive home <3
