Small Things Like These 2024
I adored this movie; as enchanting as Murphy is in his subdued stoicism - confronting the rampant misogyny in the Catholic Church, the movie does pull its punches by not fully committing to the depiction of "fallen women" in these abhorrent institutions. From a feminist criticism perspective, the movie does re-hash the damsel-in-distress trope, albeit more 'Irish', regardless it is a movie worth having conversation over, and about.
