It’s a campy, kind of silly horror movie. I loved it because I liked the idea that the house was interpreting the personalities of its residents. Four stars because I would have liked this movie to be more serious, but I really did enjoy it.

Amadeus 1984
There are almost no words suitable to describe this movie. The intricacies of human nature have perhaps never coalesced better into a singular storyline.
The only real criticism that I’ve heard about Amadeus concerns its length and pacing (too long, too slow). I could not disagree more. This epic is not a story that can be pared down for easy consumption. After all, which notes would you like them to remove?

Immaculate 2024
Well done. Sydney Sweeney exploded off the screen, expanding her range and solidifying her place as a scream queen. Some plot was left unfulfilled, which felt lazy instead of intentionally ambiguous. The movie was well-acted and thoroughly enjoyable. Graphic and bloody, Sweeney gave an excellent performance, only slightly undermined by plot holes.
