I don’t know why it took me so long to watch this movie but it was exquisite. The cinematography blew me away with the most unique and gorgeous thought provoking shots. The colour was perfection. The acting was divine. Rosamund Pike stole the show for me though. I was absolutely captivated by her portrayal of Elspeth Catton. Would watch again!

I probably should have googled this movie before I went in. Only info I knew was that it was a musical and the lead was a monkey. I had NO IDEA it was autobiographical. I don’t know who Robbie Williams is. The entire time I was waiting for them to address the fact that he was a monkey. I thought maybe he’d turn human at the end…
