DNF, fell asleep twice. I think this is too long with not enough character or story progression in each scene. Unfortunately witty banter and likeable actors can’t carry a movie for me. I can’t fully give an accurate take on this because I didn’t finish but the conflict is so weak. He’s too picky? Too afraid of commitment? The Last Showgirl 2024
Wow, i think the only thing more relatable to all women than motherhood is the fear of aging and becoming invisible. This movie explores this deep truth so completely in such a relatively short movie, I’m obsessed. I can’t believe I had a couple moments of thinking it was a bit slow because man did it hit on so many points of aging, beauty, change, and even motherhood in such a compelling way. Didn’t see The substance but I feel like maybe it overshadowed this movie unfortunately because I love how honest this one was

There are a bunch of stories about sex workers and stories about Russians. I feel like I had never seen them portrayed quite like this and it felt so honest. If you liked the tv show Barry I feel like you would love this for the absurd physical stuff. Lot of sex stuff makes it limiting to some I’m sure but very compelling narrative with hyper specific characters and a emotional ending I couldn’t predict
