I am very conflicted on this movie, on the one hand it’s very disjointed but on the other as a student of history I appreciate the little details it gets right, the black watch, grenadiers, and the Boer war and the little tributes to the Kingsman agency’s. Glory 1989
Excellent war film, accurate to all details. Very tight and not overly long. It spends its time well and budgets out the wide drama of epic battle with tight emotional scenes. Sometimes the sets did feel a bit like a play particularly the scene in Darien but nothing too egregious. Every character had an arc and every historical inaccuracy had a reason.
