Just rewatched this. Perhaps pretty close to a perfect film. A lot of re-watched value if you've seen it once. Also, tons of symbolism, deeper hidden messages from the director. Performances by jackmana and Jake Glynhal are incredible. Excellent film analysis: www.youtube.com/watch?v=fekd6LcnSyw

Road to Perdition 2002
If you are a fan of graphic novels, you can def tell that this film...shot for shot...pulled its frames from comic book stills. Quite incredible. One of Tom Hanks more challenging acting roles.

Say Nothing 2024
Really fantastic historically accurate accounts of provo IRA leadership in the early 70s. Really a bit heartbreaking...and raises quite a few questions about Gerry Adams and his involvement In the IRA...despite his continual denials.

Ripley 2024
Best tv series I’ve seen in 2 years. There I said it. Zalian apparently isn’t just a brilliant screenwriter, he’s know an amazing director too. The shots!! Man the shot composition on the series was like a Masterclass in cinema. Very Hitchcock, film noir vibes. The 90s movie with Matt Damon is trash that has a similar plot. Andrew Scott is chilling as true sociopath, and just keeps on digging a deeper well of lies, deception and murders that he has to keep on covering up. Delicious slow burn.
