Andy Kaufman was a man that I knew hardly anything about but upon watching this biopic it’s given much insight to how he lived and performed. The level of acting by Jim Carrey is really taken to new levels and shows when he’s committed to a serious role, he can stand among the greats. The most interesting aspect about the film is that while knowing nothing in the beginning, the performances and direction made me really connect with a person I never knew. By the end it left me wanting much more from such a strange but talented person.

Cosmopolis 2012
David Cronenberg is considered one of the most influential directors of his time, creating some classics like The Fly and A History of Violence but Cosmopolis is far from his best work. This is up there for one of the worst films I’ve ever seen not just from Cronenberg but of any film. The films premise sounds like it got lost in translation compared to the final result of this bloated mess that has nothing to tell.

Kraven the Hunter 2024
Cinema is an art form and every movie tries to achieve something different within this art. But among these movies there is a sub level right below it. This level is held for the recent Sony Spiderman spinoff movies that are beyond the point of even being called movies. Somehow, these movies keep getting worse and this is no different with the ‘Kraven’ film that just feels like 2 hours of my life that I’ll never get back.
