A Cure for Wellness 2016
very ambitious with some very interesting/unique themes and concepts that aren’t touched on in film too much, just wish it would have taken the time to focus on fleshing out those ideas rather than adding lots and lots more

i really wanted to like this movie ): it was very well done and did a good job at being unpredictable, but after the reveal it kind of fell flat for me. wasn’t a fan of the ending as well, it just became kind of silly while you could still tell it was taking itself seriously. i don’t hate it by any means, but it probably just wasn’t for me
maybe my opinion will change when rewatching , but at the moment i’m disappointed /:

as someone who has religious trauma, this show made me feel so seen. so many aspects of this show were accurate to the feelings i had when leaving the church, and how i feel to this day healing from it. thank you mike flanagan
