I was telling my husband how this was iconic/influential to my life WAYYYYY before even watching it. When I was little I heard the namesake song somewhere and I always loved what it meant. The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 2005
Ughhhhhh I have so much fun watching this movie! The nostalgia felt as if it was in 3D as well lol. The child acting really isn’t that bad, kid Taylor Lautner was actually pretty funny, literally probably his best role. Linus was perfect. Lava Girl is the blueprint obviously. You can obviously tell that everything is CGI, but it was a 2005 children’s movie and I personally don’t think it really distracted me at all, I think that aesthetic was actually the goal. All of our dreams probably look like poorly rendered effects at the end of the day. I love this movie so much
