Watched with Sophia. Preface though- the four stars is not because it’s necessarily less than my consistent five stars rated films, just that I felt as though it did not have that final edge that tips it to five. Though in some ways it did.
A brilliant sequel. Evolved concepts further, remained true to the roots, was more complex but worked for many ages. The premise is amazing especially for its genre and form. The human aspect was high and - perhaps just me - but obviously made to be pertinent. Separation, distance, division and what not. Loved though. And the Ocean was awesome obvs.

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy 2025
I have not seen any of the others but this one was pretty exceptional. Loved how the orienteering day was low-key à microcosm of the whole film and the film was beautifully undulating, bordering on cringe but only in an endearing, human, relatable sense and not crossing the threshold. Idk thought it was all quite leng.
P.s. will say that Renée’s accent sounded marginally different with Mr Wallaker, I thought initially it was a joke but realised that she’s actually American?Translated from by -
2001: A Space Odyssey 1968
Rewatched this banger (masterpiece) last week again in cinema. Had several new realisation/thoughts, it’s such a great interpretative jumping off piece. It is an experience and consequently makes sense why it’s one of the greatest films of all time but that’s also not really not that fair for other films because this is more than a film.
