  This movie sent me into a deep psychosis. This is a movie for NPCs. It’s such an obvious cash grab. I understand this is a kids movie but the plot was everywhere. These characters have way too much personal life. 
  I spent most of the movie what that boy characters deal is. I thought this had to be a satire on the boy next door in teenage movies. It had to be ironic or he’s lying to her face about…

  The Substance 2024

  I really enjoyed this movie. I’m not a fan of body horror so I had my eyes covered for a couple of sequences. 
  I went in open minded, knowing of the base plot and expected the social commentary. It may also a metaphor for motherhood? The way that the two leads interact reminds me of a toxic mother daughter relationship. 

  
  The Substance reminded me to be a little more conscious as I go through life and to focus on the things that truly matter.
