  While I did really like this, I did have to suspend disbelief because NO ONE would have stayed at that house for that long, let alone GO BACK.
  Agnes was annoying, but hoppy was worse.

  My boyfriend didn’t agree with my movie pick and about 30 minutes in he leaned over and whispered “I am sorry for doubting you”.

  My most anticipated watch of the year, and boy, it held up!
  Lily-Rose Depp had me convinced she was being possessed; the physicality of her performance really sold it for me.
  The film could be improved with a stronger exposition; I didn't feel like I knew the characters much, which made me less emotionally attached to them.
  However, Eggers' world-building was just gorgeous; I was completely immersed in this spooky town.
  Depp and Skarsgard were the real standouts for me; Hoult was kind of annoying.
