A heartwrenchingly beautiful film. The animation perfectly illustrated a the story, with reality being a studio-ghibli style with incredible expressions, and the virtual reality being a 3D modern anime style.
The characters were lovable and real. Moments of pure joy and hilarity were sprinkled throughout a incredibly heartbreaking story of grief, growth, and friendship.
