caution: does not do what it says on the tin. yes, it's a love story. but it's really about race and the rise of white nationalism in the UK in the '80s, as well as discrimination of mental illness among women. sometimes the acting is a bit dodgy (not by Olivia, of course) but altogether a beautiful and sad watch.
