This was really well done. Amazing cast, great pacing and structure. I really enjoyed the use/motif of pairs/duos to represent right and wrong, guilty and innocent, when in actuality nothing is truly black and white. These pairings and symbols of duality prove that there is no real answer, and often times justice cannot be served without someone being wronged. Really thoughtful ending that leaves the viewer questioning. Although this could be quick mindless watch, a lot of the true meaning and complexity is uncovered through an analytical viewer. Loss of a star because there were certainly some moments that felt cheesy/ disingenuous.

What’s the definition of insanity? Doing the same the over and over and expecting different results. Watching the Kevin’s decline as he stands in the empty and unfulfilled shadow of his father is deeply disheartening but also communicated beautifully through the films repetitive motifs of infancy, table scapes, and shadows.
