Have watched a lot of experimental/abstract stuff lately, and a feeling I've been getting a lot is that films are "good" or "interesting," but not necessarily more than that.
Well Passacaglia and Fugue is much more than just that. Utterly brilliant, a masterpiece. I was almost brought to tears in the first few minutes -- so impactful and also just technically & creatively incredible.
