Ok getting this out of the way first.. the movie overall is directed phenomenally, and I can see why it’s gotten high praise and won best picture. It’s a revitalized and exciting modern retelling of Cinderella, full of funny and sad moments with a great soundtrack and beautiful lights.
But, I ended the movie feeling so empty and sad for Anora, discarded and dehumanized by some really fucked up people.
